Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEOs) & Concurrent Enrollment

If your high school student is looking for a greater challenge and an opportunity to earn college credit, PSEOs and/or Concurrent Enrollment may be a great choice for that student. The Post-Secondary Enrollment Options Act allows high school students to take courses part-time at Iowa State University (ISU) (PSEO) or at Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) (Concurrent Enrollment) at no cost to the student and a reduced cost to the school district. Families can also choose to privately fund courses at DMACC or ISU if they wish to not go through Ames High.
